Founded with the vision to help children, regardless of their socioeconomic background, thrive through sport by breaking down barriers to inclusive participation, Football For All Foundation’s mission is realized through a series of targeted interventions designed to democratise access to football and, in turn, enable participation, confidence, and a sense of community, which are necessary tools for young players to thrive.
These targeted interventions take the form of a series of training sessions introducing the fundamentals of football, alongside distributing comprehensive football kits, comprising jerseys, cleats, and essential gear, among students for effective participation in the sport. A core element of the project is the organization of a football tournament inviting participation from students from different NGOs, trained in football under the project’s purview. The funds required were raised through online campaigns and CSR collaborations.
Recognizing that a player’s psychological well-being is as vital as their physical conditioning, Football For All Foundation seeks to expand its focus to include sports psychology. With local practitioners, it aims to facilitate sessions for coaches and physical education instructors on integrating mental health awareness and care practices into standard training modules. We aim to supplement this via a podcast series dedicated to exploring the field of sports psychology, discussing relevant news, and sharing inspiring stories of athletes’ perseverance, in order to serve as an accessible and motivational resource for young listeners.
Through these layered efforts, Football For All Foundation reimagines sport as a fundamental right and commits itself to building a truly inclusive, participation-forward culture—a level playing field both literally and symbolically.
